Blistering Beauty

Just by soft, swampy marshes laced with sweet fern homes for mice long-legged cranes tip-toe all nice Around sleepy gators resting under a blanket of willow arches, Yellow tentacles, bubbling up into blisters, Snake their way in through inlets, rivers, boats, and pipes A mushroom cloud, yellow like poison dart frogs, targets the snipes, Decaying their innards till they curl up into a beacon so sinister Trampling along the beaches’ soft edges, Coming upon towns beaten down with wind and rain, Lost veterans hiding
